Northern Lights: A Journey to Love

Piolo Pascual has been in the industry for so many years now and year by year, his love interest in his films and TV series has always been different, however for this movie, we are seeing a new face as his love interest, Yen Santos, a former PBB Housemate and main cast of All of Me.

Piolo plays the role of a father, Charlie Sr., who is a Filipino Immigrant in Alaska and has been separated from his son (Raikko Mateo). Until such time that he was asked by his son's mother (Maricar Reyes) to take care of him, so he sends Charlie Jr. (Mateo) to Alaska, which gave Charlie Sr. (Pascual) a chance to reconcile and fix his relationship with his son.

Upon meeting his son at the airport he met and fell in love with Angel (Yen Santos), a young woman who went to Alaska not only to find her lost mom but was also looking for a fresh start.

Direk Dondon was later asked what was his inspiration for the movie. His said that he was inspired by Piolo Pascual and somehow took the story of how he and his son Inigo was separated and got back together. And Piolo has also been wanting to do or portray a role such as this one ever since he has seen Will Smith's movie with Jaden Smith, "In Pursuit of Happiness."
